- Serve as a hub among program team, plant supply chain management department and global supplier management team to support new program development.
- Start Supplier New Program Launch Process per Global Sourcing Board flow and supplier manual & POTC.
- Monitor drawing & BOM releases from engineering to ensure timely transition & planning and estimate BOM cost to support company to get business from customers.
- Set up sourcing timing, preliminary bidding list and preliminary sourcing strategy with Global Commodities Manager and Plant Commodity Buyer. Present pre-nomination to Global sourcing board.
- Send RFQ to suppliers. Review, analyze quotations and negotiate with suppliers to reach the target prices. Negotiate with suppliers for yearly productivity and Business Incentive. Close open issues with leverage of sourcing. Work with GSM on bundling business.
- Get alignment on sourcing decision with program team, present souring recommendation to Global Sourcing Board to get committees' approval for supplier selection.
- Release the Nomination letter, PO, Prototype / production tool & fixture and suppliers.
- Lead SCM team to work on development of new parts and meet delivery requirements according to program milestones. Schedule PPAP submission timing plan with suppliers. Monitor development status of components. Get qualified parts on time with SDE's technical support.
- Work with SDE to have weekly APQP meeting with suppliers to ensure project is on track, identify open issues and follow up corrective plan.
- Make sure supplies be aware of capacity installation requirements and get suppliers' investment plan. Monitor supplier to build up required capacity and submit PPAP of machines/tooling/fixtures on time with the support of SDE.
- Update RSM regularly and control the total cost under budget.
- Be responsible for organizing Supplier Launch Readiness Review
- Transfer the projects to commodities buyer after SOP+6 months
- Ensure TRIR & GSSF to reach yearly target
